A Reflection of HIS Beauty~

Beauty.

Whenever I think of this word, my thoughts are always drawn to the moon.

"Daddy, isn't the moon sooooooooooooo beautiful?"

"Yes, it is darlin, but you know, it is just dirt and sand."

"It is? But how can it be so beautiful? How can it shine so bright?"

"It just reflects the light and the brillance of the sun".

A simple conversation between a little girl and her daddy years ago, and yet I still hear his words when I gaze upon the moon.

A simple fact that revealed to me an amazing truth.

I, too, am made of dirt and dust. On my own I am not particularly beautiful, (although I imagine my Daddy would beg to differ with me).

Yet, when I align my life with that of my Heavenly Father and allow Him to shine in and through me, I become bright with His beauty. I shine with His glory.

A fingertip gently wiping a tear flowing from a hurting heart.

Knees bent low, lifting another up in prayer.

Eyes seeing a need and feet walking toward it.

This is beauty.

A reflection of HIS beauty.

A heartprint of God.

Shining bright and glorious...just like the moon~

  1. That is beautiful. I don't think I'll ever look at the moon in the same way again. What a great reminder as to what we should be as Christians.

By the way...the moon has been beautiful the last couple of evenings.

    Blessings in Christ...Susan

  2. That moon is so lovely, and yes, you are beautiful too. I always thought I was ugly, probably from the words I heard as a child, but God has healed me emotionally and my husband says I am beautiful and God does too!

  3. The moon will look different for me from now on, except when I remember my now 41-year old son's comment after my father died, "Mama, look -- it's grandpa -- he's the man in the moon. For him, the moon represented heaven. And I just suppose it may be possible.
