God's Law of Supply and Demand

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

The other day I heard the most amazing teaching on God's law of supply and demand. God's ways are easy and His burden is light. We are the ones who make life such a struggle. God has promised to give us everything we need. With Christ, we can DO ALL THINGS and we HAVE ALL THINGS. We have absolutely NO NEED to worry.

But wait, you say....you don't know all the demands I have in my life. I have deadlines to meet at work, due dates for bills, and decisions to make. I have difficult people in my life! I am a wife, a mother, a taxi driver, AND I work a full-time job! Everything is pulling me in a million different directions! My life is FULL of demands! Believe me, I've got plenty to worry about!"

I know. That's exactly the way I use to think, too. That is precisely the way I had been living my life. Demands! Demands! Demands! And....quite honestly, all those demands were giving me was an overwhelming amount of stress and worry. No peace here. But then....then God spoke to me through this teaching on His law of supply and demand.

Whenever you have a demand placed on you, like a deadline, or a due date, or a decision to make, you automatically start to feel stress about it. You worry, begin to feel anxious, and your peace flies out the window. When this happens, your body starts to "feel" these demands too! Your blood pressure goes up, your heart begins to beat faster, the muscles in your neck and shoulders begin to tighten. Ugggh! This is NO WAY TO LIVE. God never intended for us to live the life of demand! Christ came so that we can live the life of supply! And believe me...there is a HUGE difference between the two!

And my God SHALL SUPPLY ALL YOUR NEED according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

A demand is simply a need we have. When we start living by God's law of supply and demand, we begin to realize that for every demand we have, God has a supply. So, instead of feeling the demands of life, we can choose to walk in God's supply and exchange our stress for His peace.

For instance, if I know I have to give a presentation at work, I can start to allow this demand to steal my peace. I can begin to worry and fret about it, etc. OR, I can believe that God will supply what I need, to do what I need to do. As I prepare for the presentation and do my part, I can be confident and sure God will be faithful to show up and do His part. I don't need to worry about it. Instead of living under this demand, I can simply flow in God's supply.

All this week, I have been living by God's law of supply and demand. And, it has been working! (Why did I ever doubt that it would?!) God keeps His promises and if He has promised to meet our needs with His supply, He will! No more demands can be placed on me when I allow myself to live in God's supply.

Have you been struggling with demands in your life?

How is your peace?

Satan tries his best to steal our peace because He knows when that is gone, everything else starts to crumble. Once our peace is gone, everything else begins to spiral downward. When we are under the pressure of demands we don't think clearly, we often make poor choices, and are then left dealing with the negative consequences that are sure to follow.

Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. Philippians 4:6-7, The Message

Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7, (NLT)

Today....and everyday, walk in God's supply! Walk in God's peace~

  5. After using another company for previous filing, I have something to compare against. I wish I had used Taxes for Expats previously as it would have saved me from a very negative experience with the other company (a lot of confusion, having to correct basic errors in forms and waiting about for days for answers to questions). There's been nothing like that with Taxes for Expats.
